Email Tracking Links and "msdynttrid" appendix in link URL

Hey Guys,

we are just about to set up Dynamics 365 Marketing for a customer.

Our Challenge is now to track email click behaviour for the purpose that we later know if a Purchase was initialized by a specifigc Customer Journey / Marketing Email.

Dynamics thankfully automatically generetes these Trackable Links for us in the following format:

So once i clicked one of these tracking links, dynamics genereate this "msdyntrrid". Good for now.

My prediction was that i will find this tracking id in the interaction / insights data in my Blob Storage (I Just configured the connection between D365 Marketing Insights Service and Blob Storage).

So I can do the matching. 

But that is not the case!!!!

There is something like a Linkid, and this kind of things but not the tracking url. This make the matching process really hard.

Does anyone has an idea about this?

    Hello,

    You should not need to get the tracking ID based on Linkid. The customer journey ID and email ID are included in the tracking interaction if available (if the user clicks the email that leads to the marketing page with tracking).
