Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 Setup

setup cannot continue because there is a pending restart required. Restart the computer and then try running Setup again. For additional detalis see logfile.

Already realized two reboots.

    To resolve this issue follow below steps

    In CRM server

    1.Click Start, click Run and type regedit, and then click OK.

    Locate the Registry Key listed in the Setup Log.  For example, the Registry Key is HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnce.

    Right click RunOnce, and then click Delete.

    If you are still getting this error i would suggest checking all the registry keys mentioned below ,delete them  and restart the server

    1.   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnce

    2.   HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windwos\CurrentVersion\RunOnce

    3.    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnce

    4.    Right click RunOnce, and then click Delete.

    realized the requested procedure , but the error message continues to be displayed. I performed this procedure on the application server only.

    would have some more procedure should I make ?

    Whatever mentioned in my previous email should have fixed this issue.If not you could  remove other registry entries that might also cause these issues.

    Expand HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE  SOFTWARE  Microsoft and select the Updates folder.

    Double-click the UpdateExeVolatile key.

    Enter 0 into the Value data field and click OK.

    Click File  Exit to close Registry Editor

    Restart your computer and attempt to run the installation again. If you are still unable to install your product, proceed to part III.

    Expand HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE  SYSTEM  CurrentControlSet  Control and click Session Manager.

    Right-click the PendingFileRenameOperations key and select Delete from the context menu. When prompted, click Yes to confirm the delete operation.

    Click File  Exit to close Registry Editor

    Restart your computer and attempt to run the installation again. If you are still unable to install your product, proceed to part IV.

    Expand HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE  SOFTWARE  Microsoft  Windows  CurrentVersion and click Installer.

    Right-click the InProgress key and select Delete from the context menu. When prompted, click Yes to confirm the delete operation.

    Click File  Exit to quit the Windows Registry Editor.

    Restart your computer and attempt to run the installation again. If you are still unable to install your product, you may also need to run the ESETUninstaller Tool from Windows Safe Mode.
