BC API with XML Response/Request

Hi, anyone tried using BC API  with XML request and response?

We're more familiar with using JSON instead, however, got a request that might need to use XML type instead to trigger via API.

Anyone tried and have samples or is this possible to be done?

via API or XMLport in API etc?

    Yes there is a way you can use API with XMLport in BC.

    Hi Verma, thanks for the reply.

    However, my requirement is using XML data format to consume BC API instead.

    The article seems to depict creating XML data and consuming external web services instead.

    Was wondering if you have any sample of XML data to consume BC API?

    such as creating an XML data and consuming a BC API to create a sales order?

    The  Standard API's are Json/Rest based so you can not use xml to consume them.

    You could customize API's that could take XML as a request but i don't think that is best practice these days.

    In that case you have to use and consume SOAP API.
