Hi,
I tried changing the formula to + and * and it worked. But I really need the subtraction operation. Am I missing some steps?

Your code looks good and the minus sign (-) is supported.
Are you getting any errors?
Also, recheck logic to make sure the values and expected results are correct.
No error but no result as well. However if I change the operator to + I can instantly see the result so I think the logic is correct

The formula looks ok. Can you post the exact numbers of Stocks, Inventory and Total?
