Custom ER Format Not Showing in Print Management Report List

(1) ShareShare
ReportReport
Posted on by 77

I created a custom Electronic Reporting (ER) configuration to add a new Purchase Order report in Print Management, but the report does not appear in the Print Management report list. Only the standard "Purchase order (Excel)" shows up.

What I did:

  1. Created a new Model derived from the standard Order model

  2. Created a Model Mapping derived from the standard Purchase order mapping, with the target set to my new model

  3. Created a Format inside my new model

  4. Changed the status of all three configurations (Model, Mapping, Format) to Completed

  5.

Problem:
The custom format does not appear in the Print Management report list. Only the standard Purchase order (Excel) report is visible.

What I suspect I may have missed?

    Hi,

I did multiple tests here and it works fine. Let me explain my findings and what I did. Maybe you can compare it with your steps to check if there are differences.

I tested this on 10.0.46 (10.0.2428.95), but should work with any version.

I derived the Purchase order (Excel) 3 times and all 3 are visible.

This is how I created it.
I also derived the order model and selected it on all 3.
The data model definition is set to blank, Address and the 3rd time to Purchase, as I wanted to check if there is a difference in the print management setup. As you can see this doesnt matter - at least when it comes to select the report format.
I also didnt set 2 of the 3 to completed and left them in Draft.
After I derived a format, I had to refresh the print management setup URL and then it was visible.

This is how the format looks like. I didnt change anything here, so everything, like the tags come from the original format.

What I did then is, I deleted from my Purchase order (Excel)_TEST format configuration the Business document type row. Afterwards this configuration didnt appear in the report format list.
Then I created the line again with PurchaseOrderRequisition and it did appear again in the report format.
So, please check if the tags exist in your configuration. If not, then add it. However, it is weird that it wasnt copied from the original one.

    Kind regards, Adis
