Can the GP Fixed Asset module be copied over with the rest of the modules to a test company?

I was told by our GP VAR that we could not include the Fixed Assets module in our test company. We want to include it in our test company to make sure all assets have been entered correctly and have all the correct information to generate the monthly depreciation and to test the reconciliation process and insure that there is no duplication of assets in the General Ledger. Is this true, the FA module can not be copied over into a test company environment?
