I have 2 clients that are getting the "Processes are currently being run that cannot be deleted" message, but there is nothing listed in the process server.

Both clients run in a Terminal Server Environment.

Is anyone else experiencing this issue??

    Hi Chip,

Are you referring to Process monitor within GP doesn't show anything.  This might happen due to user have opened several windows or generated a report before the one previously generated.  You can go to task manager and end task it and relogin to GP.

    Babu,

Yes I am referring to Process Monitor within GP. There appears to be a hung process in the system. It was not related to open windows or reports as all GP window are closed. I think it is related to the use of the Quick List windows (not Smartlist). Yes the end task does work, but that does not solve the recurring issue.

I am trying to find out if others has having the same issue on a Terminal Server.

    Hi Chip

If those users log in, does it actually complete the log in process?  You will get that error come up if you open GP, it hasn't finished loading and you try to exit the system.

I caused myself an issue a few years back when the Metrics first came out - I had a demo machine so wanted to look at them all.  So I inserted them all into my favourites which caused the log in script to be overloaded.

You could try to looking at the SY08xxx series of tables in DYNAMICS and see if those users have loads that are trying to load.

Have you tried a SQL trace - you can turn one on at any time using the Support Debugging Tool - that could also give you some clues as to what processes are being hit.

I would be very interested to hear what you find out.

    Cheers

    Heather

    Hi Chip,

Yes you are correct sometime the quick link might create this problem.  Please confirm this recur to a particular user or all users.  Please confirm what version of GP and GP is installed in client or terminal server setup.
