Rejected Timesheets in Workflow

I am trying to send an e-mail out to the employees whose timesheets have been rejected, much like Workflow automatically sends e-mails to the approver once the employee submits the timesheet, except an e-mail notifying the employee that their timesheet has been rejected.  I am not sure how I would set that up in Workflow.  Can anyone direct me?

    Hi Kim,

In GP 2015 in the WF Maintenance form under Administration, you'll have to select an action for 'reject' notification :

I'm not sure this is checked by default when you create a new WF for Project TS approval.

There is no template for a rejected timesheet in GP2018.

    Deborah Bergman,

You're right, there is no out of the box existing WF message for a rejected timesheet.

However, there is nothing that prevents you to clone one of the existing WF messages and use that as your rejection notification.

    go under :  Administration >> Setup >> Company >> Workflow >> E-mail Message Setup
Enter the name for a new WF notification e-mail and use the copy button :

Copy for example the WF TIMESHEET APPROVED* message and adjust the content of the body to your likes.

Be careful to copy / paste the content of the original body & Subject once the copy is completed into a Notepad, because there is a bug in the process (at least in 2015) that does not set the 'Series' with the copy process, and since this is a mandatory field, you have to select a series (Project) to be able to safe the new message. There will be a warning that this will reset the content of the Subject & Body to default, and as a result wipe out the field variables from the text body & header.

The end result would be something like this :

    Hope this helps.

I would consider moving to GP 2018, we had a few interesting challenges with PTE in 2015.
