GP 2013

Posted on by 220

I am putting together a quotation for a client and wish to know the exact modules within the Dynamics GP 2013 Starter Pack

In particular, does it include Management Reporter and Extender?

I cannot seem to find a definitive list of modules and functionality on Partnersource.

I am looking to order BRL BE with Smartlist Builder as an additional module, but need to know whether such modules as Management Reporter, Extender, etc will automatically become available when the upgrade is made to GP 2013 under Perpetual Licensing.

Any help would be appreciated.

Rod

    Ben and others.

Thanks for this information. But as you say there still appears to be a lack of clarity regarding what modules are included in GP 2013.

    Rod,

I remembered seeing this earlier this month, & found the link regarding the Extender announcement. It is going back to eOne, existing cutomers get grandfathered in.

Thanks Melissa, I agree with you completely as Operations said she could not provide me with a document. Looks like this one is a "maybe" until we get official word on the partner site.

You might want to get the fact that Collection Management is included  in wiritng.  From what we have been told - there are many OEM products that are not longer offered from Microsoft (collections, Smartlist builder, extender, etc).  These must be purchased through the VAR starting with GP2013.

Sales Operations told me today that Collections Management is included in the Starter Pack. This was listed in their internal documentation only. Unfortunately, on the partner site, Collections is still missing from the list of modules entirely.

    Rod,

Did you determine if collection management will be available in GP 2013 in the starter pack or extended pack?

    Thanks,

    Aaron

    Hello Rod,

If you have specific licensing questions I would recommend contacting Sales Opreations at 800-456-0025 option 2. They order up the systems and should be able to tell you whats included and what is not.

    Thanks!

    Best regards,

    Thanks Ian.

Yes that answers the question on Management Reporter, but I am still very unclear as to the exact functionality within either the Starter Pack or the Extended Pack. Certainly Collections Management, Revenue/Expense Deferrals, Extender, etc are not mentioned. The Starter Pack Functionality does reference in italics some items which previously were only available in Advanced Management, but then does not reference other items to show that they are now in the Extended Pack and they are not shown as ALC on the Price List.

Any clarification on this would be appreciated.

    HiRod,

When you buy MDGP 2013 you get unlimited Management Reporter Designer and Viewer licenses.

I haven't seen mention of Extender anywhere though.

The licensing guide is here : mbs.microsoft.com/.../msdnavgp2013licensingguide.htm

    Pricing and functionality here: mbs.microsoft.com/.../perpetual-licensing.htm
