Hi Community

I need to know what should we do to import the Revision Amount through creation of Data Entity or Excel Addins of Project Budget Revision , As I know the Revision Amount field stored in Temp table, but I need to import the Revision Amount in a bulk for multiple Project Id

Path: Project Management and Accounting --> All Projects --> select any Project Id --> Go to Action Pane --> Plan (Project Budget) --> Go to Action Pane --> New Revision --> give the Revision Amountof the particular Project budget.

Please provide me the solution.

Thanks

    Hi Girish,

Thank you for suggestion, I tried this one also, but not working, I insert the record in the field and import through data entity the updated field is not reflecting according the changes, So the data entity of Primary DS (ProjBudgetLine) would not able to import the field related to ProjBudgetRevision.

    Thank you

I think you need to build an entity with ProjBudgetLine as a DataSource.

    Refer to the below thread.

    Hi Girish ,

Yes I tried through excel, in which field the value is inserting , I changed that field value , and after publish that value not populated in the table nor in form field level.

    Thanks

Yes, you cannot create entity for the in-memory table - But I can see the only option in record from TmpProjBudgetRevisionLine  is inserted into ProjBudgetLine. This is the only suggestion I have.

I don't think there is any other way other than this.

Have you seen the open in excel and export to excel option under the office button? Is that office visible in New revision form?

    Thanks,

    Girish S.

    Hi Girish ,

According to the system when we give the Revision amount of ProjBudget after giving the workflow submit and then the amount comes to ProjBudgetLine table so we cannot directly create data entity of any table to import IncrementalChange field of TmpProjBudgetRevisionLine   table (which is InMem) .

    Hi Girish S,

Thank you for reply, But In the requirement, I have to import the Revision Amount field in a bulk , but this field is stored in TmpProjBudgetRevisionLine  table which is InMem type, for InMem type table system not allow to create data entity and in ProjBudget entity the field of temp table is not importing, can you please let me know is there any another way to import the field of temp table in a bulk way

    Hi Sam,

I gone through the code - TmpProjBudgetRevisionLine - This table is used in the "ProjBudgetRevisionManager" class - createBudgetLines method - In the argument they have TmpProjBudgetRevisionLine  and insert into ProjBudgetLine table. So you need to find any entity related to ProjBudget and use it.

Another option will be on the top right of the form you will be having office button - Click on that button it will show you all the available entities that can be used in the new revision form.

    Thanks,

    Girish S.
