CRM integration with O365 and Windows Surface

I am having a tough time getting my CRM Outlook integration nailed down.  I am running O365 which is Outlook 2013 and CRM Online.  Anyone know a good place to start.  Not sure if I download and install the actual CRM for Outlook piece or if I have to use the e-mail router option.

    Hi,

As Guido mentions, as long as you have the Surface Pro (x86 based) tablet then the link you see in the prompt will be the latest version of Dynamics CRM for Outlook connector.

You can also download it from here,

    www.microsoft.com/.../details.aspx

just make sure you download the correct version. It is linked to the same version of Office/Outlook that you have. E.g. if you are using Office 2013 64 bit, download the 64 bit version of CRM for Outlook (CRM2011-Client-ENU-amd64.exe). To find your correct version, in Outlook, click File, Office Account, then click About Outlook. You will find the version number at the top of the form displayed.

PS - The email router is optional and routes e-mail messages to and from your Microsoft Dynamics CRM organization. We use it most often for automating inbound emails for routing to a particular queue, or customer service teams. we also us e it to allow web only users the ability to send/receive/log emails in CRM without using Outlook (we have a lot of road warriors that like to use the web client only).

    Hi,

We can download the CRM for Outlook client 2011 based on your Office version from this Link :

    www.microsoft.com/.../details.aspx

After the installation of CRM Outlook client, Go to Start> All Programs> Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011> configuration wizard> Under server url> select CRM Online then click on Test connection after that it will pop up for CRM Online credentials and type in the same> then select your organization => click ok.

Thereafter you should be able to configure CRM for Outlook client successfully.

Hope the below link should also help you if you come across any error during configuration :

    community.dynamics.com/.../office-2013-amp-microsoft-dynamics-crm-on-the-surface-pro.aspx

    Thank You.
