A question for anyone out there doing consignment - how do you manage your consignment inventory?
I'm really interested in:
1. Intake - do you assign unique item lookup codes to new consignment items? If not, how do you track them?
2. Tracking sales back to consignors - do you create purchase orders for each consignor, or manage their accounts some other way?
3. Labels - if you don't assign unique lookup codes, then what do you print on your labels to identify the consignor?
I can describe what we're doing at our store if anyone is interested... however I don't think it's working very well - seeking other ideas at this point!
Thanks all...

While this is a very old post.
If someone is looking for consignment software take a look at https://www.aravenda.com/

FWIW, we're going to try a new system:
1. Register consignors as suppliers
2. Create generic ItemLookupCodes for each supplier (shirt, pants, shoes, etc)
3. When receiving, enter multiples of each item in the PO
That way we don't have to create new items for each and every thing, and we can use the built-in label printer to create labels.
Any other ideas welcome, but doesn't sound like there's many folks who do consignment with RMS.
