Workflow delegation

Hi All,

Current reports to position setting in D365 FnO:

User A reports to User B
User B reports to User C
User C reports to HOD

Conditional decision we set in workflow if the Purchase requisition.approval amount < RMXX then the workflow will stop until it found Employee.Position title value is PR-HOD-Approver.

So, the issue is User B is delegate her work to User C. Now, when user A submit workflow, the work for User B is delegate to User C. Then after User C approve the PR on behalf User B. Then flow to User C to approve the PR again.

Does the system can avoid route to User C if User C already approve on behalf User B so that User C dont need to approve twice?

    Hi,
Before routing to user c, you may need to add a condition to check whether user C has approved the current purchase request on behalf of user B. If user C has already approved on behalf of user B, skip user C's approval step and proceed directly to the next step of the workflow. Or you can use custom fields to track user c's approval actions. When user B delegates work to user C, update the custom field to represent the delegate. During workflow execution, check the field to determine if user C has approved on behalf of user B.
    Best regards,
    Kevin

Hi, i also tried to check whether there is any option to select the workflow last approver in the conditions, but i didn't find this option. As said by Kevin, it requires custom field to store the last approver and basis that condition can be added.
This post is quite old now, did you get the solution for the same.
