Web Client 2015 PTE Approval Creates Two Batches For Each Submitted TS Entry

Using GP 14.00.0661 with Web Client

When the 1st TS User submits a time sheet entry, two batches are created for the first user upon approval.  When the 2nd user enters time, one of the batches created by the first user is appended and a second batch is created (with zero transactions) upon approval.  A Series Post screen would look like this after 3 TS approvals on the same day:

TS050815-1        No. of Transactions: 3

TS050815-2        No. of Transactions: 0

TS050815-3        No. of Transactions: 0

TS050815-4        No. of Transactions: 0

TS050815-5        No. of Transactions: 0

TS050815-6        No. of Transactions: 0

Any, and all help is appreciated

Yes, this is the script we have scheduled to run each day at 8 am.  The script is the cure; however, it would be nice to have the cause fixed.  Seven months and still no solution?

This is a known bug and what we've been using is a SQL job to clear from the SY00500 table the batches where number of transactions = 0, leaving the other "good" batches intact.  The script is pretty straight forward, but, as anyone else would advise, you should attempt this in your test environment before your production:

    DELETE FROM <databaseid>..SY00500 WHERE SERIES = 7 AND NUMOFTRX = 0

    From Microsoft - May 11, 2015

The issue that you are encountering is a known issue and has been written up and submitted to development as quality report 85469. We do not have a solution to this issue as of this point, but the workaround at this point will be to delete the empty batches that are created.
