Hi,
I have turned on auditing for user access in an environment and now would like to use the audit log to create reports to measure and manage user access to CRM.
Has anyone done this before or have any tips on how I can achieve this?
Thanks

I have the same question (0)Hi!
I just answered a similar question over here: community.dynamics.com/.../178997
You can build a report yourself to see the user access through the SDK, there are details here: msdn.microsoft.com/.../hh547448.aspx . You're doing the same thing as above, just programatically. You query for Audit records and filter on the audit action of type UserAccessviaWeb.
Alternately, there's a program that will let you report on it but it's not built into CRM. Here are steps for that: -
- Download MS CRM Toolkit and install
- Run the application
- Configure Connection(s) to appropriate environment(s)
- Go to Tools | AuditExportManager
- Select the Option to download User Access Audit
- Highly recommend setting a date range (eg last 6 months)
Hope this helps! I'd appreciate if you'd mark this as a Verified answer.
Thanks,
Aiden
