Recently I notice a problem when I'm trying to open a list of records (for example System Users, Teams, Security Roles, Solutions, etc.), the page keeps loading but no results occur.
More strange was that even refreshing the page F5 or with CTRL+F5 which is supposed to start a new session (with clear cache) didn't help at all.
Thought that if I clear the browser cache this will help. It did!
However, a couple of minutes later, after navigating from a list to a list, the same thing happens, so I was like "what are the odds?" I've just cleared my browser cache!
Decided to turn "detective" and see what is happening. Tested from another browser (Mozilla and Edge) and this didn't happen for the entire day, obviously, the issue was with Chrome only.
Decided to Check the version of my chrome, which was the latest one.
Decided to download an older version of chrome and see if the issue was caused maybe because of some "update".
That actually helped! Since I didn't want to use an older version of the browser, but I didn't also want to keep clearing my cache every 2 minutes, checked for the latest upcoming version of chrome 76 which BTW is BETA.
Installed the Beta Chrome v 76 (this is brand new browser, so I had now two installed on my PC), and the problem didn't appear again.
Check when the official release for 76 version of Chrome, Starting in Chrome 76, scheduled for a July 2019.
Conclusion: For those who have the same issue and the company preferred browser is Chrome, you have the following choices:
- Downgrade your version of Chrome to oldest one where this issue doesn't occur
- Install the Beta Chrome version 76, which doesn't cause the issue. (but the browser is beta, so not many companies will be happy installing the Beta version of something for all employees)
- Use Another browser until the official release of Chrome version 76 at the end of July 2019
Hope this will help someone and looking forward to your comments.
Regards
Kiril
