I am trying to configure a carry forward leave scenario for a customer in D365HR. However I am unable to see the values in the employee leave balance. AFAIK, Carry forward from same leave plan from current to next year would not be possible (e.g. PTO > PTO).It was possible earlier. But as per the current design, the transfer should happen from one plan to another (PTO > Carry Fwd)
Here are the configuration steps that I followed:
Create a leave type “PTO”
Create another leave type “Carry Fwd” with zero balance
Link the ‘Carry Fwd” leave type to “PTO” in the leave type master
Create a lave plan for PTO and create accrual schedule as needed along with “Carry Fwd” leave type record.
Assign this plan to employee.
Run the accrue leave plan batch as necessary
The carry fwd balance for employee still shoes zero. SO, I am not sure, how will the system understand when to shift the balance from one plan to another and how to make that reflected in employee leave plan balance?
