How to extract Notes in POST Section

Posted on by 85

Hi Friends,

Is it possible to extract the user notes in POST section. I want to create a report that will see the post of user in a case. Including time/Date.

RE: How to extract Notes in POST Section

    Hi Cloud92019,

According to all available fields for post entity in doc,

    docs.microsoft.com/.../post

It seems that each post record is related to a specific entity record and there is no regardobjecttype field to show us which type of its parent regard entity type is, and filter is limited in advanced find However, I remembered that I could get regardentity name in retrieved dataset, you could add it as column into report table, and try to make a customization filter in fetchXML to test whether it would work, that is as far as I have known.

    Regards,

    Leo

    Hi Cloud92019,

Of course you can make a report with your requirement,

however, download SSRS tool to build a custom report is necessary, because some fields for post entity such as post content and the record that the post attached to are not OOB in ReportWizard.

    1. Open advanced find and add columns for post content and regard object, then build a query for posts record

    1. Download its fetchXML file.

3.Install and build custom report, those 2 articles are very clear and detailed for readers.

You'll paste the fechXML code into a textarea called query.(Just follow steps in the articles)

    Build:

    1. Import the generate RDL file into your CRM.
