    Hi,

If you are referring to createdon & modified on field then its not possible. You can however update the createdon using SDK [Plugins/ custom workflow activity] or through data import.

    www.magnetismsolutions.com/.../how_to_manually_modify_the_created_on_field_of_dynamics_crm_2011_part_2

If you are referring to some other field, then ensure those fields are not read-only on all the forms.

    Hope this helps.

If this is a custom field and not readonly then it should appear in the workflow to edit.

Just to confirm, have you deactivated the workflow?

If these are not the CreatedBy/ModifiedBy fields as Ravi suggested, but custom fields and not Read-Only, then my question is do you have multiple forms for this entity?

Is the form layout that you are seeing in the Workflow Editor that of the form where the fields are read/write?

Is it possible that these are the regular Read-Only fields, and the Read-Write fields are on a different location on the form, or other form.

I would check this scenario, as the Workflow editor displays the default System form, and not necessarily the one you are seeing when you are within the Case Form.

    Hope this helps.

System CreatedOn & Modified on fields can be modified through workflow interface screens rather you can modify using plugin and custom Workflow. if you wanted as import pls follow Mr.Ravi suggestion .

    Hi,

This can happen when a field is in the form multiple times. Go to the first instance of the field on the form, and you will be able to update the field via workflow.

    See: crmtipoftheday.com/.../cannot-update-fields-with-workflow

    Hope this helps.
