Marketing inside Business Central | Use Segments properly

Hello,

does anyone have a documentation about the "marketing" modul inside business central? The official docs aren't so helpful.

The particular problem I face is, that I want to send an attachement to some contacts: 

1. When I want to use a template to formate the email properly, it's not possible to use a attachment

-> so in this case I have to manually change each mail with the word-templates.

2. When the first problem is solved - how do I send all Email at once? So that I dont have to go through every mail...

    That is correct. I only had Word Template selected in Interaction Template (no attachment). But added attachment info into Word Template (before uploading to BC).

    That means you have created a word template filled with the same info as the attachment? So you had a filled email wiithout a attachment? Correct?

    That is correct. Sorry I missed that part. I wish Microsoft let us to do that.

    One time as a workaround I added my attachment info at the end of my word template. Marketing was not happy about it since they needed two files attached. But it worked.

    Yes, I have tried to combine it with the Interaction Template.

    But it BC doesn't allow to use a template and a attachment - both at the same time. Either template or a attachment.

    Hi

    Have you created Interaction Word Template and tried?  https://yzhums.com/12509/  you can go to Interaction Template then Create Interaction Word Template. Then when you have that ready and test it you can follow this video below and for section that you need to select interaction template select that word template.

    Hello,

    no, that is not used for the segments.

    This is used for layout selection in the sales process

    Hi,

    You can define your word report layout to send email with a particular report. Please see the image below. Let me know if this solve your problem.
