I have created a few new companies over the last couple of weeks, first time since moving to GP2010. I never copy access from another company because I want to have it all set up before users can see it.
However, I noticed with these last few that even 'sa' does not have access to this company. I have to log into another company and give poweruser permissions to 'sa' first.
Is this new?

Thank you. This was the issue after we moved to a new server. The user was not logged in as sa when recreating the db's.
Unless they have changed the rules, DYNSA needs to be the owner of all DYNAMICS GP databases. This includes DYNAMICS and all company databases. Otherwise you will run into trouble at upgrade time.
That should not be the case. When a company is created there is a record put in the SY60100 for SA and another one for the owner of the database which should be DYNSA. You may want to check the owner of the databases and make sure it is SA.
