Hi team,

I have sometime confused what to calls REST or SOAP when.

Kindly provide me an example to call what (REST or SOAP) to use when in D365F&O.

What exactly do you mean when you say Representational State Transfer (REST)? Do you count custom services in there, or just OData (because OData is RESTful)?

Or did you actually intend to ask about the two endpoints of custom services (SOAP and JSON-based)? Notice that Microsoft didn't dare to call the latter RESTful.

Do you already know what SOAP and REST is, or are you looking for some introduction to the topic before we can discuss specifics of F&O?
