How to customise CPOS screen layout for a mobile phone

Hi All,

I'm trying to configure a CPOS to be used on a mobile POS.

I've configured a new screen layout to have compact view and added this screen layout to register.

Have run 1090 (and 1070)

However, I'm facing some issues.

1. When I login to CPOS (in compact mode), getting below error

2. It works fine in other modes.

3. Also, I'm not able to customise the screen layout desinger.

4. If I say OK to above error, I'm able to login to POS, but not getting the transaction screen. Only the welcome screen is visible.

Hi Sneha,

I have noticed that you already opened Support request with Commerce Support team and they are working with you on this.

Can you post the solution once you have it for another customer ,please ?

Hi Sneha.

As the error message suggests you need to check the Screen Layout ID settings.

The CPOS / MPOS will look for the Screen Layout in the following order: Worker , Register and then Store.

You need to have filled in at least one of the following:
Worker, Screen Layout ID

Register, Screen Layout ID

Store, Screen Layout ID

The most common application of Screen Layout is at Register. Especially if you have designed special layouts for mobile devices / registers..

I did not get a resolution, but got a work-around as a fix for this issue.

Work-around to fix this issue -

1. Open the layout designer

2. Click on Import layout

3. Import a standard layout (this was provided to me by MS)

4. Do the required changes, run the job and the screenlayout works fine in POS. (I've tested this for CPOS)
