Data sincronization between entity

Posted on by 65

Hello, I need your help.

I need to keep two fields synchronized. The main field is in the opportunity (it is a drop-down menu) and each time it is changed it must be modified in the Quote.
It is not enough for me to display it in the quote because I have to be able to use it in an export excel.
My excel export is part of product quotas so it doesn't get to extract data from the opportunity.

With the data mapping I was able to map the data when I create the quota, but then if it is changed in the opportunity it is not updated in the quote.

Can someone help me?

Thank you very much

At this time I can think of how to do this using a plugin on the opportunity entity using a on postoperation.

Something like this would be more flexible in a plugin and faster.

I can't think of how to do this using a workflow.

I think you might be able to use the process category "Action".

The action will allow for you to use different entities.

    Look at this video.

    Hi, thank you very much.

I try to explain myself better. Final goal: I have to create an excel report (which I have to produce every week) which takes data from: product quote + quote + opportunity - from the opportunity I have to take only 4 fields

At present, I am able to create exports by taking data only from product + quote . I thought that the solution could be to create equal fields in the quote that synchronize with those of the opportunity.

I created the fields in the quote and made the mapping to update them when the quote is created. But the problem is that when they update those fields in the opportunity they don't sell up to date in the quote.

I hope I was clearer. Thanks for your help

    Hi,

Believe I might understand your question.  You did not explain what you are currently doing.  So I can only assume.

So I am assuming you are not already updating the quota.  If not use a workflow to do this or create a plugin on postoperation.

If you are only understanding 1 attitude I would just use a workflow.
