Change SSRS reports Location

ReportReport
Posted on by 80

we have a Production environment for GP and a test environment for GP.  both are working fine but I noticed the SSRS reports we use in test environment are actually coming from the production environment(the URL points to the production SQL server).

my question is where do I make the change so the SSRS URL is pointing to the test environment SQL server?

thanks

    Scott-
This usually happens when you restore a production backup of dynamics onto the test server.

From the administration context, locate Reporting Tools Setup - Thats where the SSRS report server and report manager URLs are located.

You must first get the SSRS reports enabled by running the SSRS wizard on your test SSRS server.

SY40800 on Dynamics database is the table that contains this setup record.

    Hope this helps

You can change the SSRS server under Administration > Setup > System > Reporting Tools Setup. You have the option to redeploy the reports if you see fit. For custom reports, it's best to export the RDLs from the production environment and import them into the test environment, since redeploying the reports will overwrite any changes you may have made.
