Splitt a journey?

Hi all,

How would you have solved this?

I have a segment target a contract with different status. One accepted, and one not accepted. I would like to send an email to them who have accepted the contract with a timestamp in about 3 days, and the not accepted after 3 days.
I want to create 1 journey but they should go different path.

And what if I have 3 targets in the segment with 3 different status. How would you have solved that?

I want to reach the target in the segment, not who opened or clicked the emails..

I hope you understand what I am trying to explain :)

Thank you for your answer. It might go with a workflow and use it in a CJ. I will try. Thank you again :)

    RE: Splitt a journey?

    Hi Camilla,

I think I might understand your requirement.

In customer journey, we can only send schedule email that based on email delivered date.

e.g: Your contacts' wishingdate is 5/10

The customer journey starts on today(4/17), but we can only send email to contact on 4/21(+4  4/17), then on send email to contact on 4/24(+3 4/21).

However, we can never send email based on wishingdate field such as sending email on 4/26.(-14 5/10)

If my guess would be right, then we couldn't do it with customer journey,

because the expected behavior is that we want send email to contact based on a date field of contact, it's more like a reminder email.

instead we should create a workflow with Timeout Condition, or do it with Flow.

You could firstly take article and tutorial video below as reference to check whether they could help you:

    RE: Splitt a journey?

    Hi again Clofly,

I mnaged to solve 2 of 4 journeys created as you suggested, so thank you. But I have 1 (or 2) that I don`t know how to solv. Maybe you can help me.

I have a customer that are searching for a house. The application get`s approved and the customer have wished for a date to move in. Say that day is today... But it could be tomorrow or in 2 weeks etc.

I need to create a segment for those customer, thats has approved the application and have that wishingdate to move in. An email will be sent right away to those who get`s approved.  The I would like to send an email to them when it`s 2 weeks left for them to move in, and then 10 days to move in, and then 4 days for them to move in. So the journey has to be from that date they want to move in and not from when I send out an email.. I am not sure I have explained it right but I hope you understand. How can I do this with a journey? Many thanks.

    Hello,

Thank you for your reply. I will test and set this up and I think I`ll have to do this seperatly. I think they all can join in the segment I will set up, were all in the end will meet.

    Thank you :)

    Hi Camilla,

    Thank you for the question.

To cover your scenario, you could create separate swim-lanes for your 3 segments (as suggested by Clofly Mao).
If you want to send a message in 3 days to any of the segments, you can use a Scheduler of "Duration" type (set for 3 days).
As for merging, we don't have this capability yet. Therefore, if there is e.g. a common step for some of the branches at the end of the journey, this common step needs to be added to each of the branches
    separately.

Please let me know if it helps.

    Best Regards,
    Aga

    Hi Camilla,

They will go to different path, but you could add same tile for them, which could be regarded as we merge them into same path.

    RE: Splitt a journey?

    Hi Camilla,

Please check whether it could meet your requirement:

You could add multiplt segments in same customer journey and do different marketing campaigns on them.

e.g: I created 3 segment for 3 contacts, and send different marketing emails to them.

    pastedimage1586328662549v1.png

    pastedimage1586328727578v2.png

    Result:

all email contents were added with {{contact.firstname}} dynamic expression.

    Clofly's email:

    Ivan's email:

    pastedimage1586328887682v5.png

    Adminer's email:

You could split your contacts into 3 segments by different criteria.

    Regards,

    Clofly
