Hi Again,
I ran a back up of the production database before my client ran depreciation on Fixed Assets. The results were not as hoped and I need to restore the FA tables that were affected. I can't do a full restore because they waited 3 hours before the ran depreciation and re-entering transactions is not an option. Can anyone tell me which tables need to be restored? The did NOT post through the GL (thankfully!!!).
Thanks in advance!
Jim

Frank & Leslie, Thanks so much for your continued help. You guys are great! To be on the safe side I restored all of the Fixed Asset tables since there are not a lot of them. We ran the depreciation after that and it came out correct. Turns out that the client was running depreciation as of 8/31/2013 instead of 2012. The are in their 2013 fiscal year and she just had a brain fart.
Thanks again!
Jim
Leslie, the only one of those tables I've ever seen anything populated in is FA00905, which contains the GL Posting details. Those records are overwritten each time you run the GL Posting Routine. Based on Jim's original post, it sounded like he just wanted to restore the depreciation tables, but I may have misunderstood his intent.
Thanks for pointing out my missing character in the FA00902 table!
Frank,
Are any of these tables updated by the depreciation run?
If any assets were acquired or sold, additional accounts may be involved.
FA00903 FA_Summarize_Financial_DTL_HIST
FA00904 FA_Financial_DTL_WORK
FA00905 FA_GL_Interface_WORK
FA01000 FA_Transaction_Source_MSTR
FA00902 missed a zero
FA00200 (Asset Book Master) and FA0902 (Asset Financial Detail Master) are the tables that store depreciation records.
