Trial Version - permissions error converting Case to Work Order

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Good morning,

I am testing the trial version of Field Service for Dynamics 365. I am trying to convert a case to a work order and receive the following error:

"User with ID ebb1c919-1771-4cc1-b795-e824bcec4cc2 does not have Create permissions for the msdyn_totalamount attribute in the msdyn_workorder entity. Count secured attributes in entity 11. User has 0 secured attribute privileges. callerAp=null"
Is this a limitation of the trial version or is it a configuration issue?
Thank you in advance,
Jim

No worries, the trial is not limited in terms of functionality. Just point your administrator to the Docs link I shared earlier, it's just a simple security setting that needs to be changed.

    Alexander,

    Thank you for the reply.

I will check with my IT dept as I do not seem to have access to the screens that allow permission edits. I wasn't sure if running in trial mode was related.

Have a look at docs.microsoft.com/.../view-user-accounts-security-roles This error occurs if a user does not have the correct field security profile, some attributes use field-level security.
