Hi Usman, 'Vendors V2' data entity can be used to update vendors financial dimension by updating field DEFAULTLEDGERDIMENSIONDISPLAYVALUE or use Excel-add in to update this field and publish.

    Hi Mohit,

I ran the Vendor V2 Entity without the DEFAULTLEDGERDIMENSIONDISPLAYVALUE which updated the vendor master. I tried that again by removing all columns and just leaving vendor name and DEFAULTLEDGERDIMENSIONDISPLAYVALUE.

This did not work, threw an error "0 record inserted in staging".

Trying to load dimension string 000000-000-000. I can try the publish route and see what happens. In the meantime, any suggestions where i might be missing a step when using Vendor V2 entity. Thanks

I have tested removing financial dimension while importing existing vendor and its working. Instead of adding  000000-000-000, just empty the field DEFAULTLEDGERDIMENSIONDISPLAYVALUE in the file, it will remove all financial dimensions for that vendor.

    Hi Usman Syal,

Please add all required* fields and default financial dimension field, update required details and publish.

Please let us know if this helps.

    Thanks,

Hi there alot of times i have to update vendor financial dimensions i use the excel add on approach that is pretty simple.

    1. open the vendor v2 add on.

    2. add one vendor dimension manually  to verify the dimension column otherwise it will be financial dimensions or default ledger financial dimension.

    3. go to design format and add all the column it will show in which column the dimensions are appearing just add dimensions there.

i hope it work for you.

    thank you

    Hi Usman,

Have you looked at the execution details for more information and details of the error(s)? Do you actually have the values 000000, 000, and 000 in your application? If not, the update stopped because of non-existing values.

Have you set up the dimensions for integration? Menu path: General ledger > Chart of accounts > Dimensions > Financial dimension configuration for integrating applications.

Do you need to clear the values or set other (valid) dimension values?
