After launching GP, I am unable to enter a PW or User ID and the following message appears and closes GP: "An error occured while loading or initializing an addin. Ask your administrator to check the Windows event log for more details. Dynamics will now close."

Update: it looks like all the Add-ins in the folder have been deleted. How do you repair this?

Have you attempted a repair of Dynamics GP from the control panel?

Yes, unfortunately, it errors out saying "Specified argument was out of the range of valid values. Paramater name: genericPath"

If the contents of the Add-In folder are empty, is there any way to copy and paste files here to restore?

Yes.  If you have a valid install on another workstation, copy the entire GP folder, including lower level folders, to a server folder or an external drive.  Then restore this to the workstation that has problems.  ONE CAUTION.  Make sure you move from a 32 bit machine to a 32 bit or from a 64 bit to a 64 bit machine.

As a precaution, rename your current GP folder before doing this, creating a new one with the copied data, just in case.  99% of the time this has solved such problems for me.  Did it today for a client!

So it turns out that the Integration Manager install I had done recently didn't install properly. I had to go into the Dynamics.SET file to remove the Integration manager information. Then, repair the Integration Manager program from Control Panel. I guess in GP2013, the Add-Ins folder is supposed to be empty!!
