vscode failing to connect to prod, but works on sandbox

I have been publishing my extension to my sandbox environment for the past couple of weeks with no issues.

I have added my production environment to the configurations in launch.json

When trying to publish or download symbols to production it fails

I am able to use postman to connect to prod and sandbox api

    AFAIK, we cannot install apps thru VSCode in Production.

    We have to use Extension Management page and upload the apps.
