Hi,

how can I unapply an entry that is applied to an Outbound Transfer? The problem is, that because of the applied entry we cannot undo the receipt.

Best regards,
ehaeb

    Hi,

the best way to do this is to use the Application Worksheet, below is a link to some notes.

Make sure that there is no posting at the time you are doing this as it means that you may not be able to save your progress and you will need to exit before you try it again.

    Hope that helps,
    Shauna

    Hi,

if I try it this way, the following warning appears:

'Entries applied to an Outbound Transfer cannot be unapplied.'

    Best regards,

The reason that you cannot undo the receipt might not be the application to item entries for the transfer. You need to check the location setup for the To location. Easy way is just to post receipt and then transfer the items back.

As Jun Wang mentioned, this item should have been used.
Canyou adjust it directly using Item Journal?

    Thanks.

    Hello,

You need to do adjustments by way of Application Worksheets. And Need to pass the Entries by Posting the Item Journal.

Can you confirm why you want to do this? If there's an application that means the item was already used. So how can you undo if the item was used?

    Hi,

the purchased item has an technical defect and therefore we wan't to send it back to the supplier. But the item isn't used. The item was only tranfered to another location. It was in stock of this location and then transfered back to the origin location.

    Best regards,
    ehaeb

I'm still not happy with how it works - we have a recurring problems in manufacturing. Example -
    1. I have an output for 100 pcs (lot no "123") in location X
    2. I move these 100 pcs to location Y
    3. I have an info that this output was wrongly registsered in BC, I have to correct it somehow and manufacture different 100 pcs
    4. I produce another 100 pcs to location X (with different Lot Nos), i move them to location Y and sell them to a customer
    5.  Now I have 100 pcs with lot no "123" in the system which never were produced in real world.
    6. I move them to location X
    7. I want to revert Output entry via Output journal - but to do that I need to reaply entries, because there is nothinh left in the original output entry.
I know that the cost has not changed. Every others pcs were sold, I have nothing left of this item except theses 100pcs (Lot "123")

I could use item journal and post negative adjustment but what about my production order? I regsitered some cost (used other items and registered cost on workcenters) but i it tells me that i produced 200pcs. So when I analyze unit cost of finished goods per production order this one is skewed...

Here's an example from real world - customer cannot revert Output entry for 80640 + 30240 pcs in W-PROD location. They produced the same qty (55440 x2) and sold it, now we have to clean up earlier output - and there is no way to do that, having in mind that we must to have correct costs in production order.

(Technically there is a way to do that, but it involves messing up with data in Application Entries table which is complicated and very risky.)
