The company has a VMware on a server that is made for D365 development, since the machines of vhd extensions don't work on VMware, we created a windows machine run -windows 2019- and installed hyper-v on it.
Then downloaded the lcs machine and tried to configure it according to this guide: Alex Meyer: create VM step by step.
The lcs machine network is stuck on unidentified! while the windows machine is working fine!
It seems that the error is from hyper-v virtual switch manager.. I created a new external switch:
and made sure to connect the lcs machine to this new virtual switch:
This question is network related and has no relation with Dynamics 365. Have you checked internet sharing option in Hyper V on the Windows VM?
I'm not sure this will work as I don't have experiences with VMWare.
Have you considered converting the Dynamics 365 Dev Box from VHD to a VMWare VMDK format instead of having an additional host?
