How data reflects from opportunity product to quote product in MSCRM 2016.

Hello All.

1. How the subgrid of products on the opportunity form reflects the same data on the subgrid of products on quote entity.

2. what is relationship between these two.

3. how to achieve , if i want to add custom fields on subgrid of products on opportunity form and which will reflect on the quote form.

I will answer again:

1. Subgrid of products in opportunity form doesn't reflect the same data - quote details on quote entity form.

2. I already provided article that describes how to find mentioned relationship - dynamicslollipops.blogspot.com.au/.../mscrm-2011-mapping-opportunity-product.html

3. To add custom fields you have to add mentioned fields to both opportunityproduct and quotedetail entities and then using approach from article mentioned in previous step - configure mapping between entities.

Hello Andrii,

I was not able to type anything in previous thread , it was showing some error there.

so i have made new thread.

As per the link you provided i didn't find anything called as oportunityproduct or quotedetail , when i have hit the rest service url in the browser (XRMServices/2011/OrganizationData.svc/EntityMapSet() )

The url is displaying the data but as mentioned in the thread it's not showing the entities as mentioned by you.

i tried to search with the name

1.OpportunityLine

2.Quoteline

as the quoteline and opportunityline are the entities for quote and opportunity subgrid respectively.

is there any easiest way to achieve the functionality.

I believe you have issues because you were looking for wrong entities. Exact names are opportunity product and quotedetail.

I opened one of current organizations I am working with and... I was able to find what I needed during one minute. Here are screenshots:

From this part I took mapping id - f6d0d464-e91e-e411-80b5-00155d012802

After that I created url like following:

http[s]://server/tools/systemcustomization/relationships/mappings/mappingList.aspx?mappingId=<Mapping Id found on previous step>

Once I entered created url to browser I was able to work on mapping:

So it worked for me and that means it should work for you. What kind of issues do you have?

i am using MSCRM online 2016.

i have not find anything called quotedetail or opportunityproduct.

which version you are using.

It works for both online and on-premise. That means that you are looking in wrong place. It could be that your online doesn't contain mentioned entities.

If MSCMR 2016 online doesn't contain these entities then what will be th ealternate for this.

This is the snapshot of the default solution for entities.

It is showing some entities on a single page out of 209 entities total.
