Google Analytics Integration

Posted on by 455

Dear Community,

While we wait for a new Marketing Solution from Microsoft, has anyone found a way to push website activities to Dynamics 365?  We use Google Analytics and Gravity Forms.  We're hoping to view website navigation tracking in Dynamics 365 for those that have filled out a form on our website.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Regards,

Tony

You can use the Skyvia cloud data integration platform to connect Dynamics 365 and Google Analytics with no coding. It is freemium

Google Analytics has long been helping to analyze traffic and improve sales. I do not think that in the near future someone will be able to do something similar. I recently began to delve into end-to-end analytics www.owox.com/.../end-to-end-analytics-implementation. Do you know anything about this? Piwik can do that from the box?

recently learned about the Google Analytics cohort analysis https://www.owox.com/blog/use-cases/cohort-analysis/. It is instrumental. Know the information about the difference between regular and new customers. I am currently studying what other functions this platform has and I understand that it is an ideal tool for analyzing traffic.

    Hi Tony,

This third-party MS Dynamics and Google Analytics integration may be what you're looking for.

It lets you push users' activity on your website to Microsoft Dynamics:

This integration supports most of the popular forms, including Gravity Forms that you mentioned.

P.S. Full disclosure: I'm the creator of this integration.

    Hi Anthony,

I am very interested in the process of envoking the Entity ID used to connect google analytics and dynamics.

Could go perhaps shortly tell me more of the process and the type of authentication/validation used for the front-end that the users are using and where the GA tracker is implemeted.

    best regards

    Daniel

    Hi Anthony,

We have a similar requirement and would like to know how you achieved this. In GA the users are tracked via subscriber ID we have to bring them to CRM as leads with names.

    Hi Tony,

I'm investigating how to do this very thing. Can you give me an idea how you generated a unique ID and passed it along to Dynamics?

    Thanks,

    Tony2

As way of an update, we did find a solution to this. We turned on User Tracking in Google Analytics, and we use the Entity ID from a Gravity Forms submission as the tracking code for each user.  If anyone would like more information, please let me know.

    Tony
