Updating Responsibility Center Field in Posted Documents or Open PO with inventory received

Posted on by 45

I have recently updated vendor cards with responsibility center information and this works well for new PO, new PI, Open PO [no inventory received], Open PI.

I attempted to update posted documents and Open PO through data import.  However it would not allow.

Is there any other way to update the responsibility center field?

    Stephen,

Yes, if a Purchase document already has posted transactions, it will not let you update the header and lines. This one will require updating the Posted documents.

    Thanks,

    Steve,

Thanks for the confirmation regarding PI/PR update.

For the open PO I tried the Rapid Start package but ended up manually updating by opening the PO's 1by1.  However, for PO which had partially received goods or prepayments made it wouldn't let me make the update.  Thoughts?

    Thanks

    Stephen

    Stephen,

The field is not editable, however, I would connect with your Partner to create a one-time update routine that imports a list of Posted Purchase Invoice (Header and Line) and Posted Purchase Receipts (Header and Line) for the field Responsibility Center.

As for Open Purchase Orders, did you try a Rapid Start package? If yes, the Purchase Header and Purchase Line must be updated and the PO has to be Open to accept the update. It cannot be Released.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks,

    Steve
