Glossary for D365 Terms for Finance and Operations

Hello All

my company is beginning the process of integrating D365. A need has been identified for Glossary of terms for Finance and Operations.

I've checked the resources section here and do not see anything like this. Does anyone know of anything either with MS or external that might be useful?

The only glossary in depth glossary I've found is for Dynamics AX, which is obviously now 10 years out of date and for the previous product.

Any help greatly appreciated

Thx

Donald

    Hi Donald,

Can you explain what exactly you are looking for? Can you share the example you found for Dynamics AX, so I would understand your question?

    Hi Andre

thanks for the quick response. We are really trying to find a general glossary of terms related to Finance and Operations in D365, which we can then use in comparison with our staff's current understanding of F&O words and terms. As we've been going through the discover phase, it is clear that different people understand the terms used in D365 differently. So ideally, we'd be able to create something to perhaps compare with, or direct staff to, as part of their training and ongoing support.

The AX link I found is here learn.microsoft.com/.../microsoft-dynamics-ax-glossary

on first glance it contains much terminology from AX, including finance. I understand that AX is the predecessor or D365? If so, I wondered whether there was an updated version of this, or whether this is glossary is relevant to D365 and if it is, whether we might be able to utilise it.

    I hope I've been clearer ;)

    Best wishes

    Donald

    Hi Donald,

Thanks for sharing. I was not aware of this glossary. AX is indeed the predecessor of Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations. The glossary is applicable to Dynamics 365. Not sure if some terms might miss. For sure, you can use this as a base to get started.
