I've just subscribed to Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online Essentials to develop a new application - so it is ok for now.
Is it possible to upgrade this to CRM Online Basic and if it is how do I do it?

Hi Leroymason,
It is possible. You will have to purchase CRM Online Basic licenses and remove Essential licenses assigned to users and assign Basic license.
Also, if you don't want to have essential license, then you can cancel the subscription at any time from O365 Admin portal.
Note: You should have Global Administrator privileges to perform these tasks.
Also additionally, you can do below tasks:
1. Add/remove any subscription you have purchased.
2. Increase/reduce license quantities of any subscription.
3. Upgrade/downgrade any specific user from any license.
