Hello Community.
Recently I have installed Dynamics SL2015, with SQL server 2012 and Visual studio 2013. But I want to know, how I can export all applications made on 2011 version to 2015.
Greetings.

It is found on the main setup form when you launch the SL 2015 setup program. Look for Microsoft Dynamics SL SDK in the choices.
Hi there,
I have inherited a custom (SDK) screen that was built for SL 2011 and now I need to recompile it for SL 2015. Would you be able to point me to the location of the SL2015 SDK conversion tool? I can't see it anywhere in the 2015 installation locations.
Best regards,
Jim
Rick, the application is a separate screen and it appears under the process section for the specific module. It is working in SL 7.0 so I am guessing that SDK conversion tool maybe able to help. However, it does not seem like the client has a license for SDK conversion tool.
I will have a closer look into this issue.
Thanks for the feedback
Lisa, yes you do. From your response, it sounds like you must have inherited the custom applications. I was assuming that they were developed using the SL SDK in the prior versions when I responded but that may not be the case. The quick and dirty way to figure that out is whether the application is a screen that appears on the SL menu and looks and acts like other SL screens. If they were SDK created applications and you have never used SDK then you may be best suited to seek out a SL partner who has experience in developing in SDK. It is a bit quirky at times. However, if the screen works under SL 7.0 or under SL 2011 then the SDK conversion tool should create an SL 2015 version without having to know too much about the SDK
Rick,
Do you need to have a license for SDK? I have a similiar situation where an application was developed in Dynamics 7.0 so I want to export that application to be used in SL 2015.
I have never used SDK before, so any additional pointers will be appreciated.
Thanks
You will need to install the SL 2015 Software Development Kit (SDK). Part of that kit include the SDK Conversion tool that you can use to convert SL 2011 projects to SL 2015 projects. Once a project is converted, you open it with VS 2013 and execute the build process. One side note: depending on how your SL 2011 project was created, you may find you have around 102 errors when you open the project with VS 2013. If that is the case, open the code window and go to protect properties and change the target framework to .NET Framework 4. That should remove the errors.
