Currency Dynamic Content Formatting on CI-J Emails

We are utilizing CI-J to send out marketing emails that contain currency fields. These fields are referenced via dynamic content on a related entity, and via the list functionality to list the price of an item. When these fields end in a .00 - like $5.00 for example, the only data that comes through is a '5' even though these are fields that are formatted as currency fields in CE and show as $5.00 in the CE app. How can we ensure that this data is populating properly on our marketing emails? Seeing a 5 when other currency fields show two data information, like 4.99 is not an optimal user experience. I can see this question has been asked before on a different forum, but was unanswered.

    It's so strange, i can't reproduce it.
    I have test it in my trial environment, the currency can display two decimal places:

    @Leah Ju the issue occurs when you have a value like $3.90 or $4.00. These numbers only come through as 3.9 or 4 - not showing accurately as currency. Is there any work around for this?
