SKU/Item Card question for planning

Hi,

A client is using SKUs on a few items and it seems like the planning parametres on the item card are ignored once you have created the SKU.

Do you know if that is the case?

The SKUs contains a location code and a different planning parameter.

Yes, when it comes to planning, the settings of the SKU have a higher priority.

    Hello Martin,

Like Hannes have said, the SKU configurations have higher priority. If you have the SKU created for other reasons than planning, then you might need to update the SKU fields according to the Item Card general information. If you want to automate that you can always develop a small customization for that purpose.

    Thanks Hannes,

The client uses the SKU because of their need for consignment.

They use the location code and planning functionality in the SKU.

The consignments (SKU) is just a small part of the clients business.

Seems to me that the only solution is to create an additional SKU to reflect the Item Card, since the Item Card is ignored when planning.

    Is that correct?

    Best regards.
