Hello,
We have installation of Dynamics CRM 2013 and it is inside it's own domain and network.
We access it through public IP directly from external apps and with alias from inside office, that just reroute to IP directly. It doesn't have public DNS name.
Problem is that at Customizations tab all service endpoints have address like http://MachineName/...
That MachineName is of course not accessible from outside.
Concrete problem right now is when I imported "Metadata browser" solution from SDK and tried to open it's homepage it doens't work, because URL is resolved to
machinename/organizationname/WebResources/sample_/metadatabrowser/MetadataBrowserConfig.htm
that is not accessible. So I can browse configuration page only within machine in same LAN as CRM server.
We will probably add DNS later, but we will not do it for 2nd test installation that will not have public IP/DNS.
So is it possible to set MachineName or endpoints URLs to is public IP directly via some configuration or directly in SQL maybe without significant side effects?

I have the same question (0)Hi Andrey
If you log onto the CRM server and launch the deployment manager.
On the left hand side right click "Microsoft Dynamic CRM" top level node and click Properties.
In the dialog click the web address tab. You should see the host names in this tab, which you can now change to the FQDNS host name.
Hope this helps.
