Dynamics 365 - Update fields with user information from Active directory

Greetings community,

First of all thank you all for your support. I've been assigned to investigate about a way to update a field with active directory fields with user information IE: social number, address, and use that information to populate other fields. My question is, is there a way to pull this information directly from active directory on CRM 365 or should i use a js or a external plugin?. Any advice is much welcome.

Thank you so much in advance. Have a great day.

We are actually doing a similar process, but not from AD, rather from GP, as we need user data to be equally maintained in both environments.

What we do is use SSIS to check for changes and update those change in CRM.

Check the following blog article to query AD data using SSIS:

    dataqueen.unlimitedviz.com/.../importing-data-from-active-directory-using-ssis

You can use KingswaySoft SSIS Connector for CRM to get the data to CRM.

    Hope this helps.

Thank you Scott, do you have any suggestion if i should use a workflow or a button with a script?

I think you will need to write a scheduled program to pull the data from AD and update the user records that have changed.
