Hi,
how to create barcode for text than how to put in the SSRS report.
I need to convert inventlocation to barcode and add a barcode in SSRS report
anyone give some idea

You need to send the InventLocation to the report as text, but use barcode font on that field in the report.
This converts it to barcode.
Use a font where the name starts with "BC" and you will get a barcode.
Different barcode fonts / types support different characters - for example some support only numbers, so please take this into consideration.
You can use BarcodeSetup.validateBarcode to validate your string.

i need that the bar code must have a leading asterisk, “*”, and a trailing asterisk to be readable.
how to do this give some ideas

What do you mean with leading and trailing asterisk?
- If you need asterisk around the actual barcode, just add two text fields in the report and put hardcoded asterisks in them. And the barcode in between.
- Or, if you need to encode the asterisks into the barcode (meaning that the asterisk is not shown on the report, it's part of the string that is encoded into the barcode), then put them in the string that you show in the barcode field. In this case you can only use such barcode fonts that support asterisk character.

- What mobile app are you talking about?
- What do you mean by "it does not work"? Does it not recognize it at all? Do you get some error message?
- Are you able to scan some other barcodes succesfully with the app?
- Are you able to scan barcodes on standard D365 reports with the app?

I have created barcode for warehouse, I have tried to scan the barcode by my android phone (barcode scanner)
but it does not show warehouse.
