Web Resources images not displayed in Sent out emails

Hello Experts,

We are storing an image file in Web Resources and included this in the body of email which is created by a custom workflow. When the email is created the image appears in the draft email but when we sent it to external contacts (which are not in CRM) the image is not shown in the emails sent.

Instead of image the URL is seen in the signature of the email. I have seen many forums is there any other way so that the external users can see the image. I have found that the image can be stored in a website which is publicly accessible and use this URL

Any ideas on how to proceed further?

    You should store all files and images that need to be accessible to external users on a public website.  Best-practice, create a CDN-like file store on your own website and host everything there.  Since your external contacts are not authenticated, they're never going to see stuff in your Web Resources.  

    Bonus, if you are doing user tracking on your website, you'll get to see how many people actually bothered to look at your images and files.

    Hi Abhilash,

    Web resources are part of CRM system and data will be accessible once within the organizations using with its URL. That is the reason you can able to see the images(png,jpg etc) in the draft email. when it sent out the link have no source to retrieve the images from the server. That is why images is displayed as link only. This is applicable to all type of web resources.

    Hope it will answer your issues.
