Is there a way to unlink a sales line item from an MO after the MO is complete?
If not is there a way to cancel a line item that is linked to a closed MO?
You can use the Manufacturing/Sales Order Cross-reference window to remove links between sales orders and manufacturing orders.
Thank you for your response, however, this is not working when the MO is complete. Is there a work around for completed / closed MO's?
Hi Melissa,
You should still be able to use the SOP/MOP when the MO is 'complete', you will get a message stating so, and do you wish to continue. Choosing 'Remove' will give another prompt asking if you want to reduce the MO qty, so you should answer accordingly. Doing this then removes the link even when the MO is 'complete':

This is the exact method used in our location to unlink MO / SOP however it was not working on a line item where the MO was marked as complete. At this time our situation is resolved simply by convincing the customer to let us ship the product. If / When this happens again I hope you all don't mind me reaching out again with what I am hoping are more specific details. Maybe there was something elsewhere causing the link not to sever.
