Is there anyway, that I can disable or stop the prefix "http://" from being added when a navchar attribute is created with the URL format? Thanks.

Hi Mike,
You can do this via javascript. However, why would you want this? If you don't want the http added, simply create a text field instead of url field.
What I am trying to do is allow for internal linking to the project file I'm working with on our server. Because the system adds the "http://" automatically after saving the link no longer works. I figure that out of the box, this isn't something that would work.
The weird thing is this url field prefix always updating whenever the form loaded. It is happening even for read only forms (inactive) and asking permission to save it before exiting.
The issue I am struggling is with social activity, got OOTB field 'post URL'. Auto saving will stop this issue, however our business requirement stops auto saving because the case and the other entities we don't need auto saving enabled.
Is anyone got a fix for this?
You need to revert the URL type to Text type though I do understand that then it will not appear as hyperlink.
There are unsupported why to convert text to hyperlink - you need to check with customer if that works with them.
Other way will be to have have a custom web resource - but that might be a overkill.
Thanks,
Prateek
