Requisitions Module

Posted on by 782

I have been asked to set up the requisitions module in SL 2011 FP1.

So, reading the users guide, I come across this little blurb on page 38..."After a requisition is entered, all purchase orders should be processed in the Requisitions module".

Two questions:

1. Why?

2. What happens if we don't?

Thanks in advance,

Chris

    Chris,

We use both because we have 2 types of purchasers.

Our Buyers (fully trained and negotiators) use Purchase Order Maintenance.

Our Spot Buyers use Requisition.  Requisition is a nice tool because you can set limitations on where they can charge purchases to, dollar limits etc..

    Hope this helps!

    Hi Chris

I think, If you answer the question why you buy requisition module you will understand why you should put purchase orders in this module.
