D365 on-prem with Exchange Online (D365 App for Outlook) without IFD

Hello. I have a question. We need to integrate our CRM (on-premise 8.2) with Exchange Online (with different CRM Online) for using D365 App for Outlook, but we have hard config with IFD. Formally we using IFD, but without facing it to Internet, just for using on mobile with VPN. Architecture of our system don't allow us to use full IFD.

Is there's a way to integrate D365 on-prem with Exchange Online (D365 App for Outlook) without IFD? Or IFD - the only way?

Hello Andrey,

Unfortunately your Dynamics 365 Deployment must be internet facing as this is a pre-requisite for this functionality:

Verify prerequisites

Before you configure Dynamics 365 (on-premises) and Exchange Online for server-based authentication, the following prerequisites must be met:

The Dynamics 365 (on-premises) deployment must already be configured and available through the Internet. More information: Configure IFD for Microsoft Dynamics 365

Any other configuration would be deemed unsupported.
