Is there a way to make a Purchase Order Workflow organization wide ?

I have a very complex Purchase Order Workflow and I'd like to make it available for all companies, though Microsoft didn't intend it to be that way, is there a possibility of making such modifications ?

any help would be much appreciated.

    The Association field defines what organizations the workflow configuration is active in. In Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009, each workflow was company specific.

    In Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012, a workflow can be used in the following ways:

    • Global – a workflow can be used across all organizations. These types of workflows can be used only with documents that contain organization wide data.

    • Company – a workflow can be used for a specific organization, such as a particular legal entity.

    It is not possible to change the Association for a created workflow, because it depends on the document processed within the workflow.

    The association parameter is defined on WorkflowType. E.g. Customer payment workflow type is defined as Company associated, on the other hand Purchase requisition review workflow is defined as Global.

    Though I've already seen these posts; I'm looking for a way to force the PurchTableTemplate type workflow (Purchase Order Workflow) to be associated with the entire organization, although it is not vanilla-supported (technet.microsoft.com/.../dd362043.aspx)

    Hi,

    Just export and import Purchase order workflow configuration, If you don't want to configure manually for each company.

    For sure ! though I do have 30+ Legal Entities to define it in. Best thing would be if i updated just the one instance and wouldn't have to go about exporting > importing.

    Try changing in WorkflowTable change to Global and remove the Data area.

    Please test this first.
